What it Means to be Tarot Master

I have been working with Tarot for several years now.  Since learning about and working on my own certification I have had to stop and think about what this all means to me.  I love reading and I do think that certification is a way to show others that your skills have been recognized by a body of your own peers.

A Tarot Master is someone that has progressed beyond the level of a beginner and that you are now ready to provide personal readings.  You have now reached a point where you are ready to take the next step which is reading for others as well as being able to teach.  A Master is someone you go to for advice.  The type of Master you go to will determine the help and guidance you will receive.

A Tarot Master is someone who uses their knowledge of Tarot to help guide others on their path.  Our role is not to judge or to tell others what to do but to offer possibilities and to be unbiased.  As a Master you are to give other options and open their eyes and minds to possibilities they may not have come to on their won.  A Master is not to use their own views to push options onto others.  You have to allow others to make their choices and their own mistakes regardless of your views.

Being a Master means that you are taking a step forward and deepening your own Tarot experience.  As a Master you are expected to continue to deepen your own relationship with Tarot so that you can offer the best information and help to both your clients and yourself.  When you become a Master you enter into a bigger realm and so it would be important to try to make connections with others so that you can connect and discuss with others and allow your knowledge to continue to grow.
